Searching for a New Art

argile was born from a simple idea: facilitate the meeting between the different arts, and therefore the artists, beyond previously accepted ideas. Should we give a new lease of life to the old concepts or should we break them? The divisions, the labels that too often paralyze artistic creation must be opposed.

argile seeks to create a free space, a bubble, almost impossible to tolerate even as an artist, so strong the boxes of our societes are preestablished and function as a sterile classification for lack of efficient organization. That artists of different universes and different disciplines meet and collaborate on new projects, new concepts.

If the cinema, at the beginning of the last century, appeared as a modern art and it so marked everyone as a true revolution, it's because it was the meeting between several disciplines (dramatic art, painting, music, theater, etc.); a meeting also associated with a technological discovery: moving images and the sounds produced. Now at the beginning of this century, there is also meeting of sorts with the history of art, although inevitably different and still waiting to be invented and developed.

The fact is that we are living a new revolution.

Among other things, digital technology enables the meeting between the different arts, and therefore the artists. But it also enables the creation of artistic elements that were impossible to imagine before or too expensive to create without this technology. Creative and communicative digital technology is not available only to create a new art but also to simply establish links between the arts and, likewise, create social links, while not forgetting the environment, betwen artists from domains as varied as contemporary art, design, cinema, architecture, sculpture, graphic design, decoration, fashion, dance, theatre, painting, music, poetry, etc.

This technology also permits the domains or the individuals, on the fringes of so-called artistic creation, to confront each other on art, its production and distribution.

Infinite interchangeable combinations, whether they be human, contextual, and/or multidisciplinary, enables one to imagine the exceptional interactivity and enrichment that such commitment would provide.
